Google new feature has sent a wave of excitement across the globe. The tech giant has recently taken to Twitter to announce that it has extended the dates of Google Meet calls. It has now decided to offer 24 hours free video calling service for free till June 2021. Previously, the service was supposed to remain active till March 31. GOOGLE NEW FEATURE- 24 HOURS FREE VIDEO CALLING SERVICE EXTENDED

The tech elite announced the Google new feature on its Twitter Handle for Google Workspace. The tweet read, “We’re continuing unlimited #GoogleMeet calls (up to 24 hours) in the free version through June 2021 for Gmail accounts…”

In March 2020, Google had announced that some of the Google Hangout (Google Meet) features will be made free for Gmail users. Therefore, its features won’t be restricted to paid users only. Just a month after this a Google new update was introduced in the form of a new platform called Meet. This new feature was made free till September 30, 2020. Later, the deadline was extended to March 31, 2021, and now this Google new feature will remain available for free till June 2021.

Another Google new feature introduced at the beginning of this month was that a person could view all the users attending a video call in the form of tile view. This Google new update was made available to both Android users and iOS users. This means iPhone users will also be able to view multiple participants at once during their meet. Frequent users of Google Meet are already aware that the number of people on screen is only 49 and on mobile phones, it is even less.

The latest Google new feature to be announced by the tech company is changes in Google Maps update. Google Maps will now use AI to help drivers detect the shortest paths while reaching a destination. This Google new feature besides being time-saving will also help minimize carbon footprints of the vehicles and make it “eco friendly.” Google Maps took to Twitter to announce, “A good map gets you where you’re going. A great map pushes the boundaries of what a map can do. From eco-friendly routes to live weather, learn about what’s next for Google Maps…”

The company provided more insight into this Google new feature by releasing a statement saying that it has collaborated with the US Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Lab to develop this advanced mapping model.
